We live in challenging times. Psalm 46 expresses well the broad demands reverberating in virtually every area of our lives these days. And yet those verses, coupled with our New Testament scripture from Romans 12, indicates a clear expectation. Even when we feel out of our element, out of control, and under siege, the Bible offers a creative third way. If heard properly, we find in both passages a liberating perspective that we so desperately need now. Let us hear them together; and let us learn a new way of seeing, thinking, and living – today!
